IRESEN’s Green Hydrogen Breakthroughs Unveiled at COP28!
Today’s side event was an enlightening journey into “Scaling Up Green Hydrogen Technologies: A Leverage for Deep Industrial Decarbonization” at the Morocco Pavilion, COP28 UAE.
The side event started with Introduction of IRESEN experience in developing PtX projects on ground (GreenH2A platform, Green Ammonia Project and Power-to-Liquid Project) by Ayoub HIRT (moderator) representing the institute.
Our keynote speakers, each contributing their unique insights and expertise, were:
– Tobias Bischof-Niemz, ENERTRAG
– Allyson Anderson Book, Baker Hughes
– Thorsten Herdan, HIF Global EMEA
They shared examples of large-scale ongoing projects that are pushing the boundaries of green hydrogen technologies. These include commercial and utility scale construction projects, leveraging MW-scale to GW-scale electrolysis capacity, and applications such as ammonia, methanol, and eFuels.
Following the keynotes, we had a roundtable discussion with our Green Hydrogen Alliances panel:
– Cornelius Matthes,
– MOURAD HAJJAJI, Cluster GreenH2
– Joyce Kabui, Green Hydrogen Organisation – GH2
– Stephen Jackson, Hydrogen Europe
The dialogue was rich with insights on emission reduction, global partnerships, and the pivotal role of green hydrogen. The discussion also highlighted the importance of harmonizing between green hydrogen exporting regions’ alliances and importing ones. Let’s continue the journey toward a sustainable future!
