The institute had the privilege to participate in 2 panels at the Africa’s most influential tech & startup event, GITEX AFRICA, held from 31 May to 2 June 2023 in Marrakech.

Dr. Samir RACHIDI, joined a panel discussion on “𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮” where he shared his insights on the challenges and opportunities of fostering a culture of innovation and supporting green tech startups in Morocco and Africa. He highlighted the important role of IRESEN in developing and promoting the strategic sector of green entrepreneurship as a key player in the green innovation ecosystem, through its various initiatives and programs aimed at stimulating research and development, facilitating technology transfer, providing funding and mentoring.

He also delivered a keynote speech on “𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗰𝗼” where he presented the potential and prospects of green hydrogen production and utilization in the continent and in the kingdom, as well as the role of IRESEN in developing and promoting this strategic sector.
