IRESEN participated in the workshop “Energy Transition in the Mediterranean Amidst Geopolitical Pressures and the Energy Crisis”, organized by the Regional Programme Energy Security and Climate Change Middle East and North Africa of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS-REMENA) and the Policy Center for the New South.
Our involvement primarily focused on promoting inter-sectoral dialogue during the roundtable discussion on « Overcoming Barriers to Energy Security and Transition in the Mediterranean. » This provided an excellent opportunity to emphasize the importance of collaboration among diverse sectors, fostering interaction between public and private actors. We underscored the significance of working synergistically, building capacity, and fostering partnerships with universities, while also highlighting the pivotal role of our youth and our commitment as researchers to adapting and demystifying technologies to meet local needs.
